Birthday Tablescape

July 23, 2015

I have had these chair covers for quite some time - don't remember where I got them.

I also have had the placemats and napkins and napkin rings for a long time and don't know where they came from either.  ;(

The bottom plate is Target, the colorful round plate is Walmart as is the flatware - wish they made knives as well in the cute patterns - wonder why they don't??

Dollar Tree had the cute Happy Birthday wine glasses and Walmart has the Mason Jar Mugs.  JoAnn had the cute whirly gigs on sale and straws.  I tucked a cupcake topper - the balloons - into the napkin rings.

The birthday hat centerpiece and Happy Birthday sign in the background are Raz.
The string lites are from Target - love battery powered lites but wish these also had a timer - but, gee, can't have everything for $3.00 a string of lites - right?  :)

The "ice cream cones" are holding bubble stuff - would love to learn how to make faux birthday cake and cake slices - it would be really cute on this tablescape.  :)

Thank you if you came to see my pictures.  I am struggling with the blog tech as I am better at stacking plates than figuring out the computer speak.  So many of y'all have such wonderful blog sites and ideas for tablescapes.  I am in awe of you!  So nice to know there are other people in this world who are also obsessed with making a pretty and clever table!  I am not alone!  Yay!  :)

July 4, 2015

                                              I started with a quilt top to use as a tablecloth . .  .

Blue shiny placemat from Burlington Coat Factory, red charger from Big Lots.
plates from Target, Dollar Tree and Home Goods.

Wine glass from Pier 1, red white and blue glasses from ebay, mason jar glasses from Walmart.

Faux cupcakes from Etsy.
I embellished tulips in old basket with flags and glittery picks that look like fireworks.

Red silverware from Walmart, flag napkins from Bealls' Outlet.

Other decorating I did:

Since kitchen table was sooo full I decided to do dining room table very simply.

Patio decked for July 4th.

Entryway table - Minnie the Australian Cattledog peeking on stairs.

Testing, one two three...

I am a total newbie, novice, etc. in the blog world.  First time in case you didn't notice.  All I know is that I love to decorate for the holidays and love to see what others do too.  I thought there was something inherently wrong with me because of my decorating obsession, but I am slowly finding others who have the same genetic quirk!  ;) Yay!
Since I really don't know what on earth I am doing, but intend to figure it out, I will start with a post of a picture of my kitchen breakfast table that I decorated for Christmas 2014.
Yep - you found it - I don't know where the fork went in the placesetting in the foreground.  Oh well....  I love the blowmold vintage snowman and the soldiers. But my total fave is the Christmas calories don't count sign.  Gospel - right?  :)  Living in sunny warm Florida on a horse farm, it is totally necessary to have such a jolly icy guy to help put one in the Christmas mood.  Sucks to decorate for Christmas sweating.
Ok - as I said I don't really know what's what yet, this is short and sweet. If you read this sorry start to the wonderful creative world of blogging, bless your heart!  :)
